Description
Documentary: Many people think seals have been safe from commercial hunts for decades, but nothing could be further from the truth. Each year the Canadian government allows the senseless killing of hundreds of thousands of defenseless seals - more than 300,000 animals in 2005 alone, nearly all between 12 days and 12 weeks old. The animals are stabbed, clubbed, and shot, and as many as 40 percent of them are skinned while they're still alive.
